Module 3

Structure and Process of a Schema Therapy Session.

Application of Schema Therapy with OCPD & Cluster-C Difficulties.

Please note: it is assumed that attendees of this workshop have a clear understanding of the Schema Therapy model.

What will be covered in this 1-day workshop:

• Didactic teaching via discussion/demonstrations/videos on general elements of schema therapy for Cluster-C difficulties: structure, process of a typical schema therapy session, and commonly experienced difficulties clinicians might face.

• Supervised role-play focusing on the modes classically associated with Cluster-C: vulnerable child mode; demanding parent mode, perfectionistic over controller mode, dependent child mode, avoidant protector, compliant surrender.

• Experience of developing a session focus and maintaining structure using attunement and empathic confrontation.
